End-of-the-Year Health Checklist
Take time this fall to plan for a healthy new year. From reviewing your health insurance plan to scheduling needed vaccines, use our simple end-of-the-year health checklist to help you stay on top of your health.
Insurance and Planning Checklist
Health Insurance: Review your current health insurance plan and see if it still meets your needs. If not, consider enrolling in a new plan.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA): Check the balance of your FSA to make sure you use the funds before the end of the year. Unused funds may not roll over to the next year.
Vacation: If you have unused time, schedule some days off to recharge.
Emergency Preparedness: Check your emergency preparedness kit and make sure you have all the necessary supplies and medications.
Mental and Physical Health Checklist
Vaccinations: Check with your doctor if you are due for any vaccinations or booster shots, including the flu shot.
Health Screenings: Make a list of any health screenings you need to schedule for the upcoming year, including cancer screenings, heart health check-ups, bone health assessments and mental health evaluations.
Annual Exam: Schedule your annual physical exam. This is a great time to review your overall health and address any concerns you may have.
Dental and Vision: Schedule appointments for routine dental cleanings and vision exams. Use any remaining dental or vision benefits before the end of the year.
Exercise and Nutrition: Make a plan to maintain or improve your physical health in the upcoming year. Consider joining a gym, signing up for a fitness class, or working with a nutritionist to improve your diet.
Mental Health: Evaluate your mental health, and consider scheduling an appointment with a therapist or counselor if needed. Mental health is just as important as physical health and should not be overlooked.
By following these simple steps, you can start the new year off on the right foot and take charge of your health and well-being.
